Price Lock Terms and Conditions

Price Lock is an option provided by MakeMyTrip India Pvt. Ltd. (“MakeMyTrip”) on selected air tickets on a best effort basis to help users (“User/ You/ Your”) who are unsure of their travel plans. Price Lock minimises the risk of the User in case of fluctuations in air ticket price for a given time frame.
The User needs to be logged in to avail the Price Lock option on certain flight itineraries as provided on the listing page by the MakeMyTrip application and MakeMyTrip official website.
If User selects the Lock Price option for a flight and fare which user wished to book on the MakeMyTrip mobile application and/or MakeMyTrip official website and also pay the applicable Price Lock fee, the selected fare price by the User will be locked-in for a period of 4 hours to 7 days depending on which option is available. In order to confirm the reservation at the fare held, payment of the selected fare must be made in full within this period. If a full payment is not made within this time, the Price Lock period will expire and the held fare will not be applicable. .
The User opting for Price Lock needs to complete the booking by accessing the Manage Booking section on the MakeMyTrip website or mobile application within the stipulated time. In case the booking is not completed before the expiry of the stipulated time, the locked fare will lapse.
The Price Lock fee is an one-time charge, over and above the full flight ticket price which is charged on a per pax basis. It is non-refundable and will NOT be adjusted against the flight booking amount.
Price Lock is only available for certain select flight itinerary bookings that are made more than one day prior to the date of departure of the selected flight.
Price Lock cannot be used or clubbed together/ combined with promotional prices or special offers being run on the platforms.
If You select Price Lock, it will be applied to the selected flights and all passengers in the booking.
No booking details can be modified during an active price lock period and the booking must be completed as is.
Users will not have to provide any names at the time of locking the fare. Names of Users shall not be required at this stage.
The reservation for the secured fare must be confirmed prior to the end of the hold period of the Price Lock. Neither the selected air ticket nor the number of Users can be modified in relation to the secured fare after the payment for the Price Lock fee. The names of all Users related to a given booking shall be provided during the final booking of the flight.
The service is offered subject to availability. The service is only available to logged-in Users for reservations made via MakeMyTrip website or via the MakeMyTrip mobile application.
In the unlikely event of a flight being cancelled by the airline or the flight inventory getting sold out before the booking is completed, MakeMyTrip will refund the Price Lock fee charged from and paid by the User. However, the User is not entitled to claim the Price Lock fee offered on a different flight fare of the same flight, in case inventory is available for a different fare of the same flight.
All other terms of carriage as available on MakeMyTrip website and/ or mobile application shall be applicable.
The Convenience Fee charged by MakeMyTrip on the air ticket will be applied at the time of final booking.
MakeMyTrip will absorb any price rise up to INR 7500 per passenger only.
This is a price guarantee and not a seat guarantee offer. This offer is only valid until seats last. MakeMyTrip shall refund the entire Price Lock fee if the seats are sold out
This price does not include any Add-on Services that you may avail at the time of final booking
You can avail the price lock benefit only on the fare option you have locked. It cannot be transferred to any other fare option for the same flight
In the event of cancellation or date change, whether done directly with the airline or through MakeMyTrip, the refund will be limited to the amount paid by the customer. Any additional amount covered by MakeMyTrip under the Price Lock feature will not be refundable. Deductions of any penalty/fees will be made from the amount originally paid by the customer. No price lock absorbed amount paid by MakeMyTrip will be refunded to the customer.

Other terms and conditions

MakeMyTrip reserves the right to restrict the availability of Price Lock option.
If the schedule of the flight that User has selected and for which User has secured the Lock-in Price for the fare is changed within the Price-Lock period, the User may request a refund of the Price Lock fee.
The aim of the service is to secure the fare, the User has selected and it shall not be construed as an amount paid as security deposit for the conclusion of the contract of carriage.
MakeMyTrip reserves the right, at any time, without prior notice and liability and without assigning any reason whatsoever, to add/ alter/ modify/ change or vary all of these terms and conditions or to replace, wholly or in part, this offer by another offer, whether similar to this offer or not, or to extend or withdraw it all together.
MakeMyTrip is the sole authority for interpretation of these terms.
MakeMyTrip shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising due to force majeure event or for reasons beyond the reasonable control of MakeMyTrip.
In the event of any misuse or abuse of Price Lock, MakeMyTrip reserves the right to reject any claim, deny the offer or cancel the booking
In no event the entire liability of MakeMyTrip under this offer shall exceed the amount of INR 7500 per passenger.
MakeMyTrip shall not be liable for any indirect, punitive, special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of, or in connection with the offer.
Disputes, if any, arising out of or in connection with this offer shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in New Delhi.
Your use of the Price Lock-in service/option is subject to these terms and conditions, the User Agreement, Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy as available on the MakeMyTrip application or website which may be updated and/or modified from time to time.
