Hotel Forex Cashback Offer – Terms and Conditions

When you make a booking through MakeMyTrip (India) Private Limited (“MMT”) website and/ or mobile application (Android or iOS) (“Platform”) for any international hotel and a forex (card or currency notes) purchase, the said terms and conditions shall apply with regard to the Offer laid hereunder.

Offer Details

• Customer gets a cashback of up to INR 20,000/- on his/ her every booking of an international hotel followed by a purchase of a forex (card or currency notes).

• Offer Period: The Offer will be applicable from 13th March 2024 to 31st December 2025.

How do you get it?

• To avail the Offer, the Customer must first make a booking for any international hotel through the Platform.
• Upon successful completion of the international hotel booking, Customers will be shown the cashback deal during the forex booking stage.
• Customers need to apply this Cashback offer during the forex purchase stage.
• User can only claim this cashback on new forex card and currency notes order only
• The Customer must complete the forex (card or currency notes) purchase (including documentation and forex transfer) before or within ten (10) days from their respective hotel checkout date.
• The Customer needs to purchase forex (card or currency notes) worth INR 3,000 or more to claim the Offer as per these Terms.
• for purchasing Forex, customer need to upload supporting documents:- Indian Passport, PAN and Air Ticket which must be on the same name from which hotel/Forex is booked.
• This offer is valid only on Hotel transaction greater than INR 2,400.
• Cashback will be processed once you complete your hotel stay.
• Cashback will be credited to the original pay mode. In case more than 50% of the hotel payment is done via Mycash wallet, then cashback will be credited to the wallet

What else do you need to know?

• This Offer is not applicable for Pay at hotel bookings.
• The Customer must make the booking for the international hotel and the forex (card or currency notes) from the same user login only.
• In Case a customer chooses to apply Forex cashback offer during a BNPL booking, and opts for some other discount coupon while making payment of this booking subsequently, the user shall not get the forex cashback
• The Customer may purchase forex (card or currency notes) from these specified cities only: Delhi, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Panchkula, Mohali, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Chandigarh, Ghaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida, Kanpur, Lucknow, Bareilly, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Panvel, Pune, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Bangalore, Mangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Kozhikode, Cochin, Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar, Cuttack, Guwahati, Patna and Ranchi. In the event, the Customer makes a purchase of the forex (card or currency notes) from any other city other than the specified one’s, the Customer would not be eligible for the current Offer.
• The amount of cashback under the Offer will only be sent to the original mode of payment used for making the hotel booking and will not be allowed to be added to the wallet.
• The amount of cashback under the Offer will be credited once the international hotel booking is completed along with successful subsequent forex purchase (card or currency notes).
• The amount will be rounded off to the nearest integer in case of INR or any other currency, if applicable.
• For Hotel Payments made, either partially or fully via MMT wallet, Cashback will be given in wallet only.
• Flight Booker are the customers who has made Flight

Conditions in case of cancellation

• If the Customer cancels or modifies the international hotel booking, the Offer will stand cancelled and the Customer will not be able to use the same Offer again.
• This offer is applicable for logged in users only.
• If the Customer cancels the forex (card or currency notes) purchase and in turn the order is cancelled, please note that the Offer will also stands cancelled and the Customer will not be able to use the same Offer again.
• The Forex order may get cancelled due to either of the given reasons:
• Forex Order may be cancelled due to invalid documents.
• Forex Order may be cancelled if the traveller is not available at the location along with a valid identity proof at the time of forex delivery.
• Forex Order may be cancelled by the merchant at the time of due diligence, if the transaction seems fraudulent.
• In either event the order shall be deemed cancelled and the Offer stands cancelled and the Customer will not be able to use the same Offer again.

General Terms of the Offer

• The Offer will not be applicable on bookings made completely with wallet amount or gift cards.
• The Offer is not valid on pay at hotel bookings. These are the bookings where payment is made at the hotel.
• For hotels, discount is calculated on the base fare (excluding ancillaries, insurance, convenience fees).
• The Offer is applicable on select hotels only.
• Users will only get the option to apply the deal in App version Android App Version: 9.0.9 and onwards, IOS APP Version: 9.0.8 and onwards
• MMT reserves the right, at any time, without prior notice and liability and without assigning any reason whatsoever, to add/alter/modify/change or vary all of these terms and conditions or to replace, wholly or in part, this offer by another offer, whether similar to this Offer or not, or to extend or withdraw it altogether.
• MMT shall not be responsible for any delay, improper services provided by the provider of services, for any injury, death, loss or damage caused by the act or default of the management or employees of provider who are MMT’s independent contractors.
• MMT does not accept responsibility for losses and additional expenses, due to delays or changes in air, train, ships or other services, missed connections, sicknesses, weather, strikes, quarantine or other causes, howsoever caused, and all such losses and expenses caused must be borne by the customer.
• Any date change may incur an additional charge and the same shall be applicable on the basis of the new date selected by the customer as per the respective provider policy.
• MMT shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising in the event of any force majeure.
• In the event of any misuse or abuse of the offer by the customer or travel agent, MMT reserves the right to deny the offer or cancel the booking.
• MMT shall not be liable for any indirect, punitive, special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the offer. Under no circumstances, will the entire liability of MMT under this offer exceed the amount of cashback provided under the Offer given here.
• Disputes, if any, arising out of or in connection with this offer shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Delhi.
• By participating in this Offer, the customer gives MMT permission to use customer’s name, image and any other details or information available on the customer’s social media profiles, in any manner, to promote the Offer or MMT brand name or services.
• All other terms and conditions as listed in the User Agreement and the Privacy Policy available on MMT platform will be applicable to this Offer. The User Agreement and Privacy Policy are available on the MMT website https://www.makemytrip.com. Customers, who are Travel Agents by occupation, are barred from making bookings for their customer’s and MMT reserves the right to deny the offer against such bookings or to cancel such bookings.
