Request to Book property requires the host's approval for booking confirmation. Once you've raised a request, you can expect a response in 24 hours.

Sometimes, hosts are unable to respond in time. If they fail to respond in 24 hours, rest assured, your entire payment would be refunded.

What should I message the host about?
To help the hosts serve you better, you can choose to tell them a bit about yourself and your trip. It is advisable to share your travel plans, the purpose of your visit, the time of arrival, the time of departure, etc.

Is there a way I can get a pre-approval from the host before booking?
Yes. Before raising a request, you can chat with the host (through the Message Host button on the host info card) and request for a pre-approval. If the host pre-approves you, you can make the payment and get an instant confirmation. In this case you won't have to wait for host's acceptance again
